Hands-On Screen Printing & DTF Training
Great printing is not learned by watching someone else work. Kolormatrix provides hands-on screen printing and DTF training built around the real equipment, production decisions and troubleshooting challenges printers face every day.
Whether you are opening your first shop, adding DTF to an established business or trying to correct problems that are costing your production team time and money, our goal is to help you understand not only what to do, but why it works.
Choose from scheduled group classes at our Atlanta Training Center, VIP private instruction or onsite training conducted inside your own shop.

VIP Private Training at Kolormatrix
Private training provides concentrated instruction built around your experience, goals and production challenges. With fewer students sharing the equipment, each participant receives significantly more press time, individual coaching and opportunities to repeat each process.
Private students may receive four times or more hands-on experience than they would in a conventional group class. A student attending alone can receive even more focused production time.
One-day and three-day VIP options are available for screen printing and DTF training at our Atlanta facility.
Onsite Training in Your Shop
Sometimes the best classroom is your own production floor. Onsite training allows Brian Toney to evaluate your equipment, workflow, screen room, press setup, curing process and quality-control procedures under real working conditions.
Onsite programs can be used to:
- Identify production bottlenecks
- Improve press setup and registration
- Reduce misprints and unnecessary downtime
- Strengthen screen-room procedures
- Improve print consistency
- Train operators and production teams
- Develop more efficient shop workflows
Choose a focused one-day shop tune-up or a more comprehensive three-day onsite workshop. International training may also be available for qualifying shops.
Learn From Real Production Experience
Classes are taught by Brian Toney, a screen printing veteran who has spent decades helping printers understand production, equipment, ink, artwork and process control. Students have traveled from across the United States and internationally to train with Brian and Kolormatrix.
Brian’s teaching approach is practical and direct. Instead of giving students a list of settings to memorize, he explains how the variables work together so printers can make better decisions when conditions change.

Screen Printing & DTF Training FAQ
Are Kolormatrix classes beginner-friendly?
Yes. Our scheduled screen printing and DTF classes are structured so motivated beginners can learn the process from the ground up. More experienced printers can also benefit by strengthening their workflow, troubleshooting and production knowledge.
Are the classes actually hands-on?
Yes. Hands-on production is a central part of Kolormatrix training. Students work with equipment, materials and real print processes instead of spending the entire class watching demonstrations.
Which class is best for a new screen printer?
The 3-Day Professional Screen Printing Class provides the most complete foundation. It progresses from screen preparation and spot-color fundamentals to simulated process and four-color process printing.
Do you offer a class specifically for DTF printing?
Yes. DTF Like a Pro is a one-day workshop covering artwork, RIP workflow, printer operation, film, powder, curing, heat press application, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Who teaches the classes?
Classes are led by Brian Toney, an experienced screen printing instructor who has spent decades working with production equipment, supplies, technical sales, troubleshooting and hands-on print education.
Where are the classes held?
Scheduled group classes and VIP private classes are held at the Kolormatrix Training Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Onsite training is conducted at the customer’s facility.
What is the difference between a group class and VIP private training?
Group classes follow a proven curriculum and allow students to learn alongside other printers. VIP training is customized around the student’s goals and provides substantially more individual instruction and hands-on equipment time.
Can I attend private training by myself?
Yes. A single student can reserve private training and receive highly concentrated instruction. This can be especially valuable when the student has specific production problems or advanced goals.
Can Kolormatrix train our employees at our shop?
Yes. One-day and three-day onsite programs are available for qualifying production shops. Training can focus on workflow, equipment operation, screen preparation, registration, print quality, curing, troubleshooting and team development.
Is international onsite training available?
International training may be available for qualifying businesses. Contact Kolormatrix to discuss your location, equipment, objectives, scheduling and travel requirements.
Are travel expenses included with onsite training?
Travel arrangements and expenses depend on the program and destination. Review the individual training page and contact Kolormatrix for a complete quote before scheduling.
Do I need to own equipment before taking a class?
No. Students attending classes in Atlanta train using professional equipment at Kolormatrix. In fact, training before purchasing equipment can help you make a more informed investment.
Can training be customized around problems in my shop?
Yes. VIP private and onsite training can be tailored around specific challenges such as registration, screen exposure, ink behavior, curing, workflow, production speed, print consistency or DTF maintenance.
How do I choose the right training option?
