Advantage Curable Reducer, add various amounts of reducer to plastisol ink to lower the viscosity (thickness) for easier printing or specialty applications, i.e. to allow the ink to penetrate the fibers more completely for a softer feel on light garments. Please note that the addition of any soft hand product could cause increased fibrillation or fading of the print during the laundry process.
Caution: Lowering ink viscosity, also lowers opacity and bleed resistance, so use with care and always test print to check for acceptable print results and cure.
Estimated Percentages vary by ink color, mesh, and substrate color.
Add 2 to 5% to reduce ink viscosity for easier printing
Add 50% for a vintage look and soft feel to print
Add 75% for waterbased feel on white garments or towels
Recommended Substrates
Varies by ink selection
Flash cure: 230 Degrees F
Full cure: 320 Degrees F
Phthalate Compliant
Inks manufactured for Kolormatrix are certified by one of the largest plastisol ink manufacturers in the world to be Phthalate Compliant and does not knowingly add plasticizers containing the phthalates listed and outlined in California Bill 1108, CPSIA HR-4040 and Oeko-tex Standard 100. The plasticizers identified may include di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), diisononyl phthalate (DINP), diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP), di-n-octyl phthalate (DnOP), (DIBP) Di-iso-butyl, and (DMP) Dimethylphthalate, including esters of ortho-phthalic acid and are not direct ingredients in the manufacture of Claira High Opacity Non-Phthalate Inks.
