TransPrint Hot Split Transfer Plastisol Ink

TFX Trans Print is a Soft-feel, hot-split transfer ink that offers improvements in printability and ease of printing both manual and automatic.

Ink scale from 1 for minimal to 5 for maximum or best.

Opacity: 3

Creamy Viscosity : 5

Bleed Resistance : 1

Build Up : Medium

Definition: Good

Recommended Substrates

Knitted fabrics, cotton, linens, cotton / polyester blends & rayon.

Gel Curing for Transfers: 195-230 F Lower temps will result in a transfer with little tensile strength that will smear or rub off the paper. Higher temps will negatively affect the "split" of the final transfer and they wont transfer.

Transfer temp 365-375 F (185-190 C)

Transfer time 5 to 7 seconds

Transfer pressure 40-45 PSI

Squeegee: Use medium 70 durometer

Wash-Up: ECO27705 Textile Ink degrader or ECO4440 Press Wipe.

Mesh: Use 60 to 110 mesh counts for optimal performance

Stencil: CBX7500 recommended but will work with Any Conventional direct emulsion or capillary films.

If your print through finer mesh counts, please pre-test. As too thin of an ink deposit causes poor opacity as well as a weak ink deposit that isnt very durable.

Be careful curing the ink transfer, the ink needs to be dry to the touch but not fully cured. Use temp tape or a doughnut probe to measure temperature if possible. Over gelled prints will NOT transfer properly.

Adhesion powder: While not required with this ink, adding adhesive powder will increase durability and bleed resistance of the transfer.

Printing Tips

Pre-heat the paper to prevent shrinking and humidity problems. Transfer powder will often stick to the paper if moisture is present.

Cracking or peeling, it is likely that your ink deposit is too thin, your ink is over-gelled, or your heat press pressure or temperature is not even.
