Advantage is our Premier Plastisol Ink and is comparable to other High Quality Inks.
The ADV Series plastisol inks have been formulated for Manual and Automatic high production screen printing.
Opacity: Very Good
Viscosity : Medium
Bleed Resistance : Low
Build Up : Low
Although most Advantage inks are Very Opaque, optimum opacity is achieved with Super Advantage inks which are formulated for optimal coverage.
Advantage inks may be used to print cold peel transfers.
Cotton, cotton blends, polyesters, and some nylon (generally open weave or mesh types) as well as other synthetics.
Curing: Gel or flash-cure: Approximately 230 Degrees F
Full cure: 320 Degrees F
Transfer Temperature: 350 Degrees F.
Fusion tests should be made prior to any production run. Failure to cure properly causes poor wash fastness, inferior adhesion and increased dye migration.
Opacity : Very Good, use Super Advantage inks for maximum opacity.
Tension: 15-20 acceptable, 25-35 recommended
Squeegee type: 60-80 durometer. Dual (70/90) or triple (70/90/70)
Squeegee blade: Sharp
Squeegee angle: 10 to 20 degrees
Squeegee Pressure: Avoid excess pressure
Squeegee speed: Medium to Fast
Wash-Up: ECO2770 Textile Ink degrader or SCP17 Press Wipe.
Mesh: Use 86-160 mesh for optimum opacity.
Use 160-305 mesh for overprinting and fine line printing.
Use 160-305 mesh for printing onto white or light fabrics.
For process colors use 230-305 mesh
Use 86-120 mesh for cold peel transfers.
Stencil: CBX7700 or CBX7500 recommended but will work with Any Conventional direct emulsion or capillary films.
Inks manufactured for Kolormatrix are certified by one of the largest plastisol ink manufacturers in the world to be Phthalate Compliant and does not knowingly add plasticizers containing the phthalates listed and outlined in California Bill 1108, CPSIA HR-4040 and Oeko-tex Standard 100. The plasticizers identified may include di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), diisononyl phthalate (DINP), diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP), di-n-octyl phthalate (DnOP), (DIBP) Di-iso-butyl, and (DMP) Dimethylphthalate, including esters of ortho-phthalic acid and are not direct ingredients in the manufacture of Claira High Opacity Non-Phthalate Inks.
